Opportunities for the French firms
A considerable potential: Mendeleev and Mac Gyver for less than 500 USD a month.
Even if they think that the number of persons occupied by R&D's activities was divided by 2 in 10 years, Russia still has a considerable technological and scientific potential. First of all, the level of Russian science, who could attain excellence in many fundamental domains as applied, is not any more to prove. Certainly, she had her lacunas, notably in electronics, and she endured from departure towards l foreigner of more than 200 000 researchers (that is about 15 % totals), among the best that counted the country, but as well as the Russian capitals return today in Russia, it is possible to bet that the Russian researchers, often very tied to their country, will come back there when they will finally be able to live there correctly on their job. Besides, because of a shortage extended during Soviet period, Mac-Gyver drowses in any Russian, and the engineers and other technicians do not have their same to find ingenious and pragmatic solutions in complex questions. Finally, the wages of the researchers and Russian engineers are about ten times inferiors to those practiced in France, returning very delightful the activities of R&D NOT VERY FOND OF GOOD FOOD in capitals. General agro situation
In 2001, the number of profitable farms Exceeded the bar of 50 %. It is rather well, but this figure augments very slowly. The lack of good administrators, the lack of expression of financing and the debt of the sector, slow down considerably a quick development of APK (AGRO-PROMISHLENY-KOMPLEX) as a whole.
However, Russia must re-capitalise its agriculture by renewing its motor pool to allow the resumption of basic productions.
It was not so distant time, when wheats of Ukraine and of Russia erupted on Europe.
