TOURISM AND ECONOMY:
The Republic Alta hires 90 % of its budget in tourist development and its education. On top of that, some individuals organise campings and create tourist agencies. For 3 years, activity takes other proportions for the region. Roads which lead to mountains are practically very new or in the course of renovation, development is incontestable. They are however still far from our coast of azure and from the French summer crowds, very fortunately.
In this small paradise, the holidaymakers are Russians, some passengers of Baltic countries, rare European. They come in most from Siberia (Omsk, Tomsk, Novokuznets, Barnaul, Novossibirsk, Irkutsk), then from Moscow.

The ecological organisations try hard to prove the effectiveness of green energies. Two Americans came to deliver solar panels to the camping.
