The officials suggest in an explicit way not turning the back anymore in huge working potentialities between France and Russia. They attend at the beginning of a true change by mutual francorusse evaluation.
To illustrate this very official resurgence, we chose some some of the recommendations coming from the very good report written by the deputy Herv Mariton for the National Assembly: Establishment of the French firms in Russia, force and right , because it is well necessary to confess it, firms and French in general are little prepared for action on Russia, compared with some of our European neighbours. The motorised sector is, as in most industrial countries, a key sector of Russian economy. The fleet of particular cars is estimated at a little more than 20 million units (that is almost 150 vehicles for 1000 inhabitants, to compare 500 in about in Western Europe and 300 in Poland and Republic Czech) and doubled transition since the beginning. The medium age is of 8 years, with 30 % of vehicles being more than 10 years old. In 2002, the market is estimated at about 1,6 million personal vehicles: in the order of 1 million vehicles for the Russian constructors (principally AvtoVAZ), a little more than 100 000 imported vehicles (figure in strong growth, with important market share of the Asiatic constructors), and about 500 000 imported vehicles of occasion. The Russian vehicles, which suffer from serious quality problems and from a technological delay (the range was not practically renewed for 10 years) are in competition with the foreign vehicles of occasion on the segment 3 000 6 000 dollars. By meeting men of ground having a strong experience of the Russian market, Objective is follows its reflexion on the development of the French-Russian current of business. We met Michel Aguinet, businessman of ground in atypical course. He speaks to us about his establishment in Russia, and about the development of his shops in the Russian regions.
OE: What is your first approach of Russia?
MICHEL AGUINET: I arrived in Russia a bit incidentally at St P tersbourg, after an experience in real estate and tourism. In 1992 in Irkoutsk I worked satellites in communications and links with Alcatel, then in gold mines. In 1993, I arrived at Perm and I began working in the sector of the wood. I then bought a sawmill in 1998. (more )

While it is possible to notice every day the cultural nearness of France and of Russia, and the links of friendship which make friends so easily between these two people, it is possible only to determine the delay of France in trade with Russia.
Indeed, what French has not already read Tolstoy, Dostoievski or Pushkin, and which Russian is not capable of naming Dumas, Balzac or even Napoleon?
On the other hand, in economic terms, France is only the ninth business partner of Russia, behind Germany and Italy, and the sixth investor in this country. The Russian market absorbs only 0,7 % French export. Why do the French firms prove to be so sensitive to the cold?

TOURISM AND ECONOMY:
The Republic Alta hires 90 % of its budget in tourist development and its education. On top of that, some individuals organise campings and create tourist agencies. For 3 years, activity takes other proportions for the region. Roads which lead to mountains are practically very new or in the course of renovation, development is incontestable. They are however still far from our coast of azure and from the French summer crowds, very fortunately.
In this small paradise, the holidaymakers are Russians, some passengers of Baltic countries, rare European. They come in most from Siberia (Omsk, Tomsk, Novokuznets, Barnaul, Novossibirsk, Irkutsk), then from Moscow. (more )

But what Russian does not like to travel fast? Tchitchikov, hero of dead Souls wonders seriously, works that Gogol concludes with the famous description of Russian immensity. The questioning of Tchitchikov is more than ever pertinent in Russia which always tried to open up its large empire.
Of the mythical road of Var gues trading with Byzance and Khazars in the "window" opened on the Baltic Sea, the question of the opening up of the Russian space is permanently, and all the more after 1991: the purpose of USSR drove to a redistribution of cards in the sector of transport. Transport declines under several modes but to include the largeness of current, notably multimode plans, it is necessary to return to problems generated by the bursting of USSR. (more )
