Ecology: Tree plan Armenia

The serious energy crisis of the beginning of the nineties (caused by the stopping of the nuclear power station after the earthquake, by the difficult financial status which drew away the fall of USSR and by conflict with Azerba djan) had serious consequences to environment.

Indeed the lack of fuel forced populations to stock up wooden and caused deforestation of a lot of the Armenian territory.

Cooperation Russia-EU - pledge of the sustainable development of the region of the Baltic Sea

The cooperation between Russia and the European Union (EU) is the pledge of the success of the sustainable development in the region of the Baltic Sea, declared on Thursday the prime minister of Finland, Matti Vanhanen.

There is two protagonists today in the region (the Baltic Sea): Federation of Russia and European Union. It creates conditions favourable to an easier and more efficient cooperation not only in advanced standing, but also in regional and local level, as well as in that of organisations and commercial companies , pointed out the Finnish head of government, intervening during an international conference Prosperity and stability - cooperation of the countries of the region of the Baltic Sea jobs of which started on Thursday in the Swedish city of Visby.

We met Valeri Konstantinovitch Krutikov, leader of the region of Babynino since 1991.

While many regions are affected by unemployment, the exodus and various social troubles, such as the alcoholism, affecting regions without perspective, the success of the region of Babynino (region of Kaluga) shows us to what extent competences and motivation of the leader of the local administration are decisive for the revitalisation of the rural territories in Russia.

Valeri Konstantinovitch is a political personality and an admitted economist. After a career pointed out in the services of criminal Education in Moscow and in Siberia, he ran the police of the region of Kaluga. He is an active member of the Union of the journalists of Russia and collaborates with many newspapers. Finally, he is doctor in economics and dedicated many works to the development of the small businessmen in the country and to the training of a system of co-operative credit in Russia.
